DNA Testing and the Powerful Human Brain
Without a doubt, the human brain is unarguably the most powerful part in our human body. Most of our bodies’ processes are controlled by our brain. Without it, we will not be able to function as normal as we are now. Often, we refer to the “central processing unit” or CPU as the brain of the computer. Without the CPU, the computer will not function, whatever kind of troubleshooting that you would try on. Center is the keyword. With the brain, everything is kept in balance and in proper gears.
The brain is also considered to be the one who processes all the knowledge that we acquire from our everyday lives. Such life-changing ideas and innovations in our society today is rooted from the depths of our brain – thus we should give it due credit. The brain has paved way to greater knowledge and a more modern lifestyle. An example of what could be touted as the product of our curious brain is the study of genetics. A branch of science, genetics deal with the substances that make up the human body – in this case, we are referring to the deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA. The discovery of DNA and its advantages, through practicing genetics as well has been helpful in many different ways.
Through DNA Testing, a process in which the DNA is thoroughly examined, a lot of broken families have been reunited, hundreds of thousands of criminal cases have been intelligently solved, and a multitude of both scientific and societal innovations came into being. The DNA Test is a vital component in all of these healed families, solved crimes and whatnot. How does this process work? First and foremost, DNA is collected. Believe it or not, DNA is everywhere – and by everywhere we mean virtually everywhere. You have it on your skin, your hair, your saliva, your sweat…everywhere. Therefore, for police investigators, DNA is such an important key to the resolution of a crime. And the better thing about it is that it can be easily gathered.
After DNA collection, the gathered specimen will now be subjected to testing. Let's take a Paternity Test as an example. Tests such as the paternity test are done to trace the genealogical roots of a person through its genetic make up (which of course, comes from the DNA). When the genetic make up of a person matches with the framework of his alleged father (so as the term paternity), then the relation between the two persons is legitimately verified. So with the help of DNA, the missing pieces of someone else's life has now been fully completed.
The DNA is just one of the many wonders that our brain has created. Through this technological, scientific and apparently societal invention, our life has become better and more progressive. As time goes by, we might not know, more and more advanced discoveries about the DNA shall come into existence. Who knows, the Earth might be made up of DNA!
